Abstract

This study examines the application of blockchain technology in the education sector, with a particular focus on geospatial data management. Blockchain, known for its decentralization and high Security, offers innovative solutions to academic and spatial data management challenges, such as data fragmentation, information manipulation, and greater transparency. The research method is a comprehensive literature review, gathering and analyzing relevant recent scientific sources. The review results show that Blockchain can improve efficiency and Security in academic data management, ensure data validity and integrity, and facilitate better global collaboration in educational contexts. However, adopting this technology faces several challenges, including high implementation costs, adequate infrastructure, and immature regulations. The study concludes that despite these obstacles, Blockchain holds significant potential to create a more transparent and secure educational ecosystem. With the proper implementation strategies, Blockchain can become a crucial tool in enhancing the quality and efficiency of data management in the education sector. The study also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between educational institutions, technology developers, and policymakers to overcome existing challenges and maximize the benefits of this technology. Thus, Blockchain can create a more transparent, secure, and sustainable educational environment, ultimately supporting global advancement
