Screening for Plagiarism
Journal of Global Learning and Teaching (JGLT) is committed to ensuring the originality of all submitted manuscripts. To maintain the integrity of our publication and to prevent academic misconduct, all manuscripts submitted to JGLT will undergo plagiarism screening.
-
Plagiarism Detection
JGLT uses Turnitin, a widely recognized plagiarism detection software, to screen all submissions for potential plagiarism. Turnitin compares the content of submitted manuscripts against an extensive database of academic papers, books, websites, and other sources to identify similarities and potential instances of plagiarism. -
Manuscript Evaluation
After the initial screening, manuscripts that show a significant level of similarity with existing works will be closely examined by the editorial team. Authors may be contacted to provide explanations or make necessary revisions if potential plagiarism is detected. -
Originality and Citation
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and properly cites all sources of information and ideas that are not their own. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable and will be treated seriously. -
Consequences of Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript will be immediately rejected. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, JGLT will take appropriate measures, which may include retracting the published article and notifying the author's institution.
By using Turnitin for plagiarism detection, the Journal of Global Learning and Teaching upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and ensures that the research we publish is original and contributes to the scholarly community.
