Withdrawal of Manuscript
Journal of Global Learning and Teaching (JGLT) takes the process of manuscript submission and review seriously. Once a manuscript has been submitted, it enters the peer review process, which involves time and effort from reviewers and editors. Therefore, the withdrawal of a manuscript should be avoided unless there are exceptional circumstances.
-
Withdrawal Policy
Authors are discouraged from withdrawing manuscripts after submission, especially after the peer review process has begun. However, if authors wish to withdraw their manuscript, they must submit a formal request to the editorial office, explaining the reasons for withdrawal. -
Withdrawal Requests
To request the withdrawal of a manuscript, the corresponding author must send an email to the editorial office at [provide contact email]. The email should include the manuscript title, submission ID, and a detailed explanation of the reason for withdrawal. -
Editorial Decision
The editorial team will review the withdrawal request. If the request is deemed valid and justifiable, the editorial office will grant permission for withdrawal. However, if the manuscript has already undergone substantial peer review, the request may be declined. -
Consequences of Unauthorized Withdrawal
Unauthorized or unprofessional withdrawal of a manuscript, particularly after it has been accepted for publication, may result in sanctions. These sanctions may include a ban on future submissions from the author(s) and notification to the author's institution. -
Handling of Withdrawn Manuscripts
If a manuscript is withdrawn before the peer review process begins, it will be removed from the editorial system, and no further actions will be taken. If a manuscript is withdrawn during or after the review process, the journal will retain records of the manuscript’s submission and peer review history. -
Multiple Withdrawals
Authors who repeatedly submit and withdraw manuscripts without valid reasons may be subject to penalties, including being barred from submitting future manuscripts to JGLT.
By adhering to this withdrawal policy, the Journal of Global Learning and Teaching ensures that the peer review process remains fair and respectful to the time and efforts of all parties involved.
