Peer Review Process

Journal of Global Learning and Teaching (JGLT) employs a rigorous and transparent double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of the articles we publish.

  1. Initial Submission and Screening
Upon submission, the manuscript is initially assessed by the editorial team for relevance to the journal's scope, adherence to submission guidelines, and overall quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be returned to the authors without external review.

  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The double-blind process ensures that both the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process, promoting an unbiased evaluation.

  3. Review Criteria
Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, significance to the field, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s audience. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations for the manuscript, which may include acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.

  4. Author Revisions
Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts. Revised manuscripts are usually returned to the original reviewers for further assessment to ensure that the authors have adequately addressed the feedback.

  5. Final Decision
The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of revisions. The decision is then communicated to the authors along with any additional feedback from the editorial team.

  6. Publication
Once accepted, the manuscript is copyedited and formatted for publication. Authors will receive proofs for final approval before the article is published online and assigned to an issue of the journal.

The Journal of Global Learning and Teaching is committed to upholding the highest standards of scholarly publishing, and our peer review process plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and credibility of the research we disseminate.
